About me
Is that ever the case? Well, no. Basically never. But every time I try a new project, I learn something new. The drawback to this compulsion is shiny new project syndrome. Once I have done the new cool thing (even if the project isn’t finished), I’m ready to start on the next cool new project. There are pros and cons to this, but mostly cons. For example, I started making my first rings in 2021. It wasnt until 2026 that I got my rings to a place I felt they were good enough to put up for sale.
Hi, I’m Jesse! I’m 21, I live in a fairly small town called Battle Ground WA, and I love making new things.
What does that mean? Well, it means when I see a cool shiny new thing that someone makes on the internet, I take it as a challenge. I have absolute confidence that I can make it as good, if not better than that person.
I never liked art as a kid. I thought art had to be drawings or paintings or, well, something that required me to learn color theory! It wasn’t until I began my early adult years that I realized “art” is defined differently for everyone. The things that I see beauty in might make zero sense to the person standing next to me. And that’s actually a good thing! I don’t want to see the world like everyone else. That would make life very boring. The best thing that I can do for myself is make the things that I find beautiful. And that’s what I’m gonna continue to do!
There are a few reasons for this, one being that life just got busy! But also that I would make a new design, show it to people, and then decide it was time for a totally different project! And I have been all over the board. I have been on the techy side, from making video games, to 3D design and printing to building my own laser cutter. To the more craftsmen's side of making a chess set, an axe/knife throwing target, and even artificial rock art. All cool. All exciting, but never took anything to the point of selling.
